¶1 COMMODORE, WAKE UP!
¶2Written by Tyrant/Cadaver
¶3FAST ¶1have been active for a long time,
but they started for real in Summer
-92 A couple of weeks ago they had
razzias on some of the best boards in
Norway. This was a big shock for
many. Their technics of getting the
"pirates" may have been the most hated
ones. Because nobody are safe
anymore, you can get busted for
nothing these days. And all the
¶3FAST¶1-boards, which have been opened
all over the world, really makes the
nightmare come true!
Most of the active members of the
scene doesn't care that much about
games, but almost everybody like to
relax with a game once in a while.
And since most of us use our money on
stamp-expencives and buying more
hardware to the ¶2Amiga ¶1(and of course a
lot more..) and since we don't like
games ¶2THAT ¶1much, we just don't buy
games. Because what is the point in
buying a game which we only play a few
times?
Well, most of the companies have found
out that young children are the
"buyers." Companies like ¶2OCEAN ¶1for
instance, concentrate on producing
games for young children. (Crap) And
this is another proof that shows that
most of the companies only care about
money, not if the products are liked
at all. (This is not meant about all
the companies!) Let's take an example:
Home Alone; This is the worst game
I've ever played. It's so boring and
so little pleasure! But the producers
only cared about the name, because
they knew that young children would
buy it!
The companies says that the prices is
so high because of the piracy. Well,
what about the consoles? The
producers play monopoly on the games,
because of almost no active piracy.
And instead of lowering the prices,
their prices is sky-high! -Money is
the keyword here!
Back to ¶3FAST¶1: After my opinion they
are destroying the scene. Because,
they are treathing all the swappers on
the scene! Well, their job is
understand- able, but I don't think
it's the right way. Instead of using
their money to "catch" the "pirats"
they could use their money on making
gameprotections more high-tech, try to
lower the prices on games or use the
money on charity or something...
Well, a fact is anyway that FAST are
ripping of Commodore. Well, of course
not directly, but all the pirates they
take are persons which would and have
used a lot of money, buying hardware
from Commodore. Perhaps a modem to
get more games with, HD to play the
boring Sierra games and expencive
laser- printers to write letters to
their game contacts...
¶3FAST ¶1must be stopped before they ruin
everything. (!) ¶3FAST ¶1does indirectly
kill the ¶2Amiga. ¶1And they stop all the
new ¶2Amiga¶1-users of buying it, because
many of them want to buy an ¶2Amiga
¶1because of all the great games out,
-and there won't be a lot of
amigabuyers left if they find out that
they have to buy all their games,
unless they don't want to take the
risk, of ending up in a smelly jail,
beaten up by the prisoners and raped
by the jail-keepers!!!
WE, the active part of the scene must
fight the outsiders! ¶3FAST ¶1is
outsiders! They must be stopped now!
Their access to boards must be
terminated. You all have to do what
you all have to do! Kill them if
nessecary!!(Joke!)
And Commodore, you better stop them!
Their activities will ruin YOU! I
really don't understand why you have
let them come as far as they have!
And to ¶3FAST ¶1I'd like to say: You must
be blind or just plain stoopid, not to
understand that there are a leak in
the gamecompanies. How they fuck do
you think that we get the games? -Do
you actually think we buy the games
from local stores and crack them
afterwards? No way! We get the games
long before the local stores get them!
You must understand that all the
gamecompanies have insiders which are
corrupt, and sells the games to all
the biggest crack-groups around. So
try to stop the leak before you catch
the "innocent pirats!"
¶2An angry Tyrant(of Cadaver) signing
off.
¶3(¶2This article was written quite a long
time ago, but I hope you like it
anyway -Ed¶3)
